Which of the following 'park rules' were broken in the last ten days?

1. Do not alight from your car next to Do Not Alight From Your Car signs.

2. Do not shout or throw stones at the crocodiles.

3. Do not herd wildebeest back to the river with your helicopter.

4. Do not play rugby in the middle of the reserve.

5. Do not approach the cheetah by foot.

What in the world!!! I wouldn't want to break any of those! I think they have a death wish yikes.

I hope only rule number 1 was broken but I fear all of them were broken!

I fear the worst - all rules were broken...
People playing rugby with cheetahs and wilderbeest when they should have been in their vehicles; and the excuse that the helicopter was really being used to make sure the crocs stayed in the river and didn't spoil the game just doesn't wash!

I hope it’s 1 or 4, as they would not automatically involve harassment of animals.

Yes, all five were broken, which is why I'm in Nairobi right now printing out some park rules to hand out to each driver and tourist as they come in through the gates.

Number 2 and number 3 were most surprising. Number 2 especially as it was a well known conservation group who were harassing the crocs.

Throwing rocks at crocodiles? Really? They sound like 8-year olds.

Also, am I to assume that a group in the past did in fact start playing rugby somewhere in the reserve?

People, people, people...

The group playing rugby was just one week ago. They were very nearby to some thickets and in fact there could have been any type of animal lurking just metres away.

I hope they will appear in the monthly report with their full names, especially the croc-rock- throwers and the helicopter herder.

I'll add - stupid, stupid, stupid people. Who in the heck was in the helicopter? - I sure hope it wasn't wildlife photographers - you of course don't have to answer. 2-4 equally stupid and scary especially approaching a cheetah which I am sure would run away, but come on how dumb. Like you said any number of animals could be hiding in the bushes.

#1 will always happen. I kind of wish sometimes that those people would get trampled by the wildbeasts - forgive me if I offend.
