March was, for the most part, dry – with a few showers. This enabled us to burn the planned block with an ideal, slow, cool burn that did not damage the thickets.
The Chief Executive met with some members of the International Conservation Caucus (ICCF) and their Conservation through Development group headed by Mr David Barron on the 4th.
The heavy rains continued throughout the first three weeks in June, with several exceptional storms along the escarpment resulting in severe flooding of the lower road to Oloololo.
The rains continued throughout April – with some heavy storms from the 11th. By the end of the month there had been considerable damage to our roads and most of the Triangle was waterlogged.
We had sufficient rain in the first half of the month to fill some watercourses and get the grass growing; we then had a week of dry weather towards the end of March.
