When we were assessing risks for the Annual Work Plan, we cited two very real risks:

• The war in the Middle East escalating.  We were more worried about Gaza than Iran; and

• El Niño continuing.

The long rain started very early, and it looks like we are in for another exceptionally wet year.  This month alone we have had over 200 mm (8”) of rain. 

We had 1,280.11 mm (51.2”) of rain in 2025, continuing the above average rainfall we have been experiencing for the past few years
